The totallength of the spillway is 1,400 feet and themethod of construction will not be as simpleas in the case of the mam dam. The loggingroad will be utilized for hauling material tothe mixing plant which will be at the foot ofthe largest spillway, and the concrete hoistedin a tower and distributed by gravity muchas is done in the most up-to-date buildingconstruction. A very large percentage ofquarried stone will be used in these spillwaysas there is an abundance of material at hand.Deep powder drifts with cross-cuts will be runin at convenient points adjacent to the twohigh portions of the spillway and the great blocks of stone obtamed m this way will beplaced in the concrete by powerful derricks.
