ill no doubt result in a num- ber of appliances being sold. The windowwas decorated as a kitchen with a lady iron-ing with an electric iron. The idea was sug-gested by Miss Abrams of the local office andmade a decided hit. Saturday night after the demonstration hadclosed a dinner was given to the employes ofthe district. The table was set for forty-twoand was nicely decorated with electric lightsand flowers. The company emblem was madeof electric lights and hung over the center ofthe table. Manager M. G. Hall acted astoastmaster and made a number of remarksabout the demonstration and the results whichhad been obtained by Pacific Service dur-ing the past year. Short talks were made bya number of others present and the balance ofthe evening was enjoyed in story telling anda general good time. During the dinner it wassuggested that a local organization of the em-ployes be formed under the title of the Pa-cific Service Club of the Santa Rosa district.The Get-together spirit is everywhere.

King Alfonso.The eminent Spanish nobleman expressedhimself delighted with the prospects for thegreat Exposition, and at receptions given byboth the Exposition directors and residents ofthe local Spanish colony, assured all that hisParliament would pass an appropriation suffi-cient to enable his country to be worthily rep-resented here in 1915. M. Jean de Pulligny, a famous Frenchengineer, came out from New York underorders from his government to look over thesite and submit a report thereon.
