English: Typhoon Pabuk in the northwest Pacific Ocean is moving slowly to the northwest, but is forecast to veer northeast in 48 - 72 hours, skirting the east coast of Japan and picking up speed. The remnants of Typhoon Usagi are over eastern mainland China after coming ashore on Sunday September 22 with winds in excess of 100 mph. This image was taken by MTSAT-2 at 0530Z on September 23, 2013. |
