English: One of the tallest and most recognizable building in Warsaw. You can see it from almost anywhere in the capital. It was established in 1955 on the initiative of Joseph Stalin as "a gift of the Soviet people to Poles". Built by Russian workers, for a long time it was considered a representation of the socialist authorities and the pride of the Polish people - it was the place where, inter alia, conventions of the Polish United Workers' Party. From the very beginning, its monumental interiors have hosted numerous concerts, exhibitions, fairs and shows.
Currently, the palace has, among others, theaters, cinema, museums, trendy pubs and the main. |
