Description
English: A complete copper-alloy nail-cleaner of Early Roman date.

The flat-sectioned body is 'leaf-shaped', the bowed upper half tapering into the straight-sided lower half, which terminates in a pair of forked points. On both surfaces of the body, a perimeter groove extends parallel to each side, beginning halfway down the wider upper portion. The loop, which is broken, is set at a right angle to the top of the body.

Length: 47.86mm; width: 9.58mm; thickness: 0.95mm; weight: 1.80g.
