Description |
English: An early-medieval silver sceat (or proto-penny) of Series A, c.AD 680-710, minted in various regions of south-eastern and eastern England (Reference: Spink 2014, 775). Obverse: radiate bust right; TIC in front. Reverse: Standard with TOT II inscription. The coin is 11.2mm long by 10.9mm wide, is 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.2grams. The coin is unworn and with a good even patina. |
