Description
English: Neman river from mont Margier in former Poland.
Polski: Niemen z góry Margiera. Wśród licznych związanych z wypadkami historycznymi malowniczych okolic nadniemeńskich, wyróżniają się swoim powabem okolice Puń, miesteczka na wysokim prawym brzegu Niemna położonego. Tu w roku 1336 królik litewski Margier zamknąć się miał z nielicznym pocztem zbrojnych i z 4000 okolicznej ludności przed napadem krzyżackim i zginął śmiercią bohaterską.
