  • Dansk: Maleriet blev bestilt af den ene af grundlæggerne af B & W, Carl Christian Burmeister (7. januar 1821 - 11. december 1898). Dennes søn godsejer Hartvig Burmeister og hustru Mathilde. Skænket til museet i oktober 1922 i henhold til ægteparrets fælles testamente.
