English: NAVAL STATION GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA (March 11, 2009)ÑA 25-foot response boat assigned to Coast Guard Port Security Unit (PSU) 305 gets underway as part of a mock medical extraction during a joint exercise with U.S. Marines in Guantanamo Bay today. The Fort Eustis, Va.-based unit practiced evacuating an injured Marine from a remote area to the Naval Station's medical facilities. PSU 305's main mission here since November has been providing anti-terrorism and fleet protection. This includes patrolling the waterways around the U.S. Naval Station and Camp America as well as providing internal security during the commissions at the Expeditionary Legal Complex here. Each of the unit's Defender-class response boats like this one is armed with one .50-caliber machine gun and two 7.62-caliber machine guns and is capable of a maximum speed of 45 knots.
