| Description | The form work used in the precasting operation is seen here as used during the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Virginia DOT to demonstrate the use of precast concrete pavement system (PCPS) technology to replace concrete slabs on a section of I-66 during nighttime partial or full closures. PPCP slabs were 8.75 inches thick and either 12 by 10 feet and for a single lane or 27 by 10 feet for a double lane replacement. |
