Français : Marck est répertorié comme photographe de genre à Paris, de 1863 à 1874, et comme peintre, à l'Exposition universelle de 1867. En plus des portraits cartes de visite, il a signé des photographies retouchées à l'huile et transformées en tableautins. Vingt-six sont réunies dans l'album du duc de Morny conservé au Metropolitan Museum. L'Impératrice est montrée dans le somptueux costume vénitien qu'elle portait au bal du 9 février 1863, l'inscription au dos étant erronée. Ce bal donné à l'occasion du carnaval fut somptueux. Lillie de Hegermann-Lindencrone précise que l'impératrice portait à cette occasion tous les joyaux de la Couronne cousus sur une somptueuse robe de satin écarlate à jupe de velours noir. Le peintre a fidèlement rehaussé le costume et créé un décor imaginaire de tribune ouvrant sur le Grand-Canal. Il n'était probablement pas l'auteur de la prise de vue. Dans l'album Morny, il a traité de la même manière un portrait de l'Impératrice en odalisque.
