Description |
English: An incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy Pipe Tamper circa AD1700 - AD1850. The object is in the form of a ring with an oval bezel. From the loop of the ring extends a shaft, which has a collar and then a short section of screw thread. The ring is slightly distorted but is in otherwise good condition. It measures 35.7mm in length, the loop is 28.0mm wide, the thickness of the screw thread is 9.0mm and it weighs 9.5g. |
