Description
Español: La zona de Candeleda y sus municipios limítrofes, junto con la comarca de la Vera, gozan de un microclima privilegiado que permite el cultivo del pimiento para obtención del pimentón de una calidad extraordinaria, muy valorado y demandado dentro y fuera de la provincia de Ávila. Procede el pimentón principalmente de pimientos de los géneros "Capsicum" y "Longum", cultivados en fértiles tierras del valle y regados con las finas aguas que bajan de la Sierra de Gredos. Esta conjunción de planta, suelo y agua, unidos al "saber hacer' y a la experiencia añeja de nuestros agricultores, va a dar lugar a esta preciada materia prima, la cual, tratada con el cariño que imprime la tradición, se convertirá en ese valioso condimento, imprescindible en le recetario de La vieja cocina castellana.
