English: Equipment used in forestry to enable the controlled pollination of specimen. Shown in the picture are a bag, which is wrapped air-tight around the branch containing an unopened flower to ensure that it is not pollinated by an unwanted source, a pump operated syringe with a pollen canister attached, which is used for injecting wanted pollen to the bagged flowers, as well as equipment for pruning, tagging and recording the bagged individual. The bag has a window, through which the development of the flower can be observed. This picture is a part of the jalotie project.
Suomi: Metsänjalostuksessa käytettyä välineistöä, jolla pyritään varmistamaan yksilön kukinnon siittyminen halutulla siitepölyllä. Kuvassa esitettynä risteytyspussi, joka sidotaan ilmatiiviisti kukinnon ympärille estämään tuntemattoman siitepölyn pääsy kukintoon, käsipumpulla toimiva siitepölyruisku johon voi vaihtaa tarvitun yksilön siitepölypullon sekä välineitä joilla yksilö voidaan merkitä, ottaa siitä muistiinpanoja sekä karsia oksistoa. Kuva liittyy jalotie-projektiin. |
