English: An Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV), assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), embarks the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) during the Amphibious Landing Exercise 2015 (PHIBLEX 15). PHIBLEX 15 is an annual bilateral training exercise conducted with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Germantown is part of the Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Group, commanded by Rear Adm.
