Summary

Description
English: How to eliminate cable salad under your PC table. My old schoolfriend asked to invent something cheap to remove his power strips, which made cable salad under his computer table.
  • How I solved that problem in 12 Euros?
    • 1) Well, home computer uses 6 or 7 outlets, so it is better to use industrial box of outlets. So, 4+4 will be enough.
    • 2) Then, let's see European wiring standarts. Outlets in living rooms should be mounted on altitude 15...90cm from the floor and cable should protected on altitude up to 2.5 meters. Pipes are sited on 5 meters from those outlets.
    • 3) How to connect power cable between outlets and old hole? Cheap variant I'd found is one-piece connector for electric stove.
  • What problem I've faced during installing? There was widespread lack of Soviet buildings - box for outlet was secured to the wall by spackling paste :) when I removed it, I also removed big piece of wall at the same time :) So I required to spend extra time for going to near building storey and buy gypsum there. But messing my clothes by gypsum was not envisaged in my plans.
