Description
Español: LA DEVOCIÓN DE MANUEL FERNANDO ZÁRATE A LA VIRGEN DE LAS MERCEDES LO LLEVÓ A CREAR EL FESTIVAL FOLCLÓRICO MÁS IMPORTANTE DEL PAÍS COMO LO ES EL FESTIVAL DE LA MEJORANA EN GUARARÉ. SEGÚN LA TRADICIÓN RELIGIOSA DE LA POBLACIÓN, LA ADVOCACIÓN MARIANA DE LA VIRGEN DE LAS MERCEDES SE REALIZABA EN UNA CAPILLA DE QUINCHA UBICADA EN LAS LAGUNITAS DE GUARARÉ. CUANDO SE CONSTRUYE LA IGLESIA PARROQUIAL ALREDEDOR DE 1888, LA IMAGEN ES TRASLADADA A SU NUEVA MORADA, DONDE HOY SE LE VENERA CON MUCHÍSIMA DEVOCIÓN.
