Портрет старшины Войска Донского П.Е. Ханженкова. Е. Копылов. Копылов Ефим Васильевич. 1818 год. Холст, масло. 108,5x87,5 см. Новочеркасский музей истории донского казачества. Авторская надпись в правом нижнем углу изображения: «Копыловъ. 1818». Находился в Новочеркасском атаманском дворце, Донском музее. Петр Егорович Ханженков — донской казак, на военной службе с 15 лет. Участник сражений при штурме Очакова, осаде Аджубея, взятии Измаила, за что произведен в старшины и награжден золотым знаком. В 1801 году избирался судьей в межевую экспедицию Войсковой канцелярии. В 1803 году ушел в отставку. Армейских чинов не имел, военную службу закончил в должности войскового старшины. Изображен с наградами: бронзовой медалью «Главы рода и пожертвователя Отечественной войны 1812 года», двумя золотыми медалями за участие в штурмах Очакова и Измаила.
