Description
Skovgaard did this painting to illustrate his ideas for the dining room of the banker Aggersborg in his home at Holmens Kanal 4, Copenhagen. The painter Johan Thomas Lundbye was also called upon, and on the black door you can see the typical nisse figures that were one of Lundbye's trademarks.
