On April 4, 2011, NASA's P-3 rested on the ramp after its return to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. The flight originated at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, where crew had efficiently repaired a failed prop valve. Credit: NASA/Kathryn Hansen Operation IceBridge, now in its third year, makes annual campaigns in the Arctic and Antarctic where science flights monitor glaciers, ice sheets and sea ice. |
