This Orion was a loooong way from home. The Ausies of 10 Squadron dropped by on their way to the Air Tattoo at Fairford in July 1987. And after the show they came back, but this time because they had an engine problem. The photo was taken on 31 July when A9-753 made a test flight with a Dutch engine installed (not visible here). The Australian engine was picked up by a RAAF C-130 a week later. |
