in engraving: Ferme dans les principes de sa religion, constant dans ses affections, sévère dans sa probité, il a laissé à ses enfans, qui lui ont fait élever ce monument, l'exemple des vertus chrétiennes et sociales. Priez Dieu pour son âme. in engraving: Ci git Pierre René de Londre négociant à Paris. Né le 13 mars 1756. Marié le 23 avril 1787 a Louise Félicité Darbonne. Décédé le 14 juillet 1806. Requiescat in pace. Sa religion, ses vertus , ses bonnes œuvres et surtout sa charité envers les pauvres qui le pleurent, et dont Dieu seul connaît le secret, sollicitent pour lui la clémence du Juge souverain. Ami sincère, bon parent, père tendre, époux fidèle, il emporte avec lui l'estime de ses amis, l'affection des siens, l'amour d'un fils qu'il prive d'un modèle, et la tendresse d'une épouse inconsolable, qui a fait graver sur ce tombeau l'expression de sa douleur. Ego sum resurrectio et vita qui crédit in me etiam si mortuus fuerit vivet. Joann II. Je suis la résurrection et la vie, celui qui croit en moi, fût-il mort, vivra.
