Description
English: Oxford Road, Reading. North side, c. 1902. Part of No. 42 (Henry James Abery, second hand clothes dealer); No. 40; No. 38 (formerly the Pioneer Drug Store of Cross and Company, with dental surgery above, now empty); No. 36 (Francis John Reading, tailor, now empty); the corner of Cheapside (formerly called The Vinery), with the new department store of William McIlroy Ltd. nearing completion at No. 34. 1900-1909 : photograph by Walton Adams. Part of this photograph was used to make postcard, Dynix 1221788.
