| Description |
English: Overgrown railway embankment. The trees and shrubs growing on the embankment seen in the background are marked as a strip woodland on OS maps. They grow on a long since closed section which once served the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway. The line ran from Melton Constable to North Walsham between Corpusty > 1257408 and Aylsham North > 1290565. The line opened in the late 19th century and closed again in 1916. This short section of dismantled and overgrown trackbed is situated just northeast of the former Bluestone station > 1319237. |
