Summary
[edit]DescriptionOvergrown kilns at Pistyll near Llandybie - geograph.org.uk - 82137.jpg |
English: Overgrown kilns at Pistyll near Llandybie. Just off a farm track towards Wern y Pistyll these overgrown lime kilns can be seen. The main arch is a passageway through to a quarry, lined with arched kiln bases. More arches appear on the outside and further red brick stacks have been built, most of which have fallen. Climbing atop the whole structure reveals only forest and no sign of any openings at the top of the kilns. Note that this is a completely different lime works and quarry to the Cilyrychen one at the adjacent square 62360 |
