Summary

[edit]
Description This structure is known as the OTR Campanile, a belltower that defines the intersection of Liberty Street and Reading Road in Cincinnati's Pendleton neighborhood. Constructed in 1996, the structure was funded by the Verdin Bell and Clock company, who's corporate headquarters are located in the neighborhood, and though it does not sit in Over-the-Rhine, it makes the surrounding area more cheerful than it would otherwise be, and is a symbolic gateway from the automobile-dominated landscape to the east into the more pedestrian-scale neighborhoods in the downtown basin.
