image recto: A sketch of a burning ammunition or fuel dump seen from the garden of a house. A long beam dominates the composition diagonally from the right to left. There are pots with exotic plants in the lower right and a garden wall running along the lower edge of the composition. A house with an ornate cast iron balcony on the upper floor can be seen, and the sky is filled with smoke. image verso: The upper page shows an ink and wash drawing with ballerinas. The prima ballerina stands in the centre of the group of the corps de ballet. She is dressed in a bridal veil and carrying a bouquet. The sketch is titled 'Ballet Russe' and 'Le Baisere de la Fée and 'Lundi 1e Mars 1942 7.30'. The bottom half of the page has two blue ink sketches of Japanese soldiers in uniform and caps, both wearing

glasses. There is also a head of a Japanese soldier and two small sketches of heads.
