Description
English: One picture in a series taken walking south outside the walls, starting at this gate. On one we see the gate itself, on many others we see the tower at its north side and the walls to the south. On some only the walls south are shown. At 260 meters south one reaches a breach in the walls for the major traffic artery of the Turgut Özal Millet Caddesi. I do not see much sense in using the name Gate of St. Romanus as the gate has changed a lot over time and has been called differently for at least 550 years.
