Description
English: Three-piece woman's day outfit comprising long-line Princess style bodice, skirt and overskirt panel-all in khaki moire silk (faille).All 3 pieces partly dismantled. Bodice fastens at front with 13 silk-covered buttons and 4 metal hooks. Stand up mandarin collar and softly rounded drop shoulders with slim fitting sleeve cut in 2 panels finishing in turn up cuff. Hem finished with pleated band. Front panels wrap over shoulder and join 4 curved back panels which shape the garment into fitted waist. Panels edged with piping and outer 2 gathered at lower edge to allow fullness of skirt. Front darts unpicked and alterations taking place. Dress makers pins still attached. Lined with polished cotton. Skirt cut in 6 panels. 2 godets at front. Waist band made from same fabric as lining i.e. polished cotton. Side fastening with 2 metal hooks and 4 eyes
