Summary
[edit]DescriptionOutfall north of Boddam - geograph.org.uk - 467388.jpg |
English: Outfall north of Boddam A tiny fragment of land in the SW corner of this grid square, situated behind Peterhead Power Station. Town of Peterhead to the north.
The 'pier' (as the photographer originally described it) is actually an outfall dating from the late '70s. Prior to the harbour at Boddam being built, local fishermen used the beach between the mainland and Buchan Ness. There are still the remains of the leading lights to be seen nearby. |
