Do you know Grace Brown % She lives thenext door to my mothers. She is a girl whomyou would love. I will tell you a story about her. 3. Her father took her to see the animals in thetent. Grace was much pleased. She looked withwonder on the big elephant, and fed him withapples, wThich he seemed to like. 4. He put out his big trunk and took themfrom her hand. She patted him on the trunk, andall at once he took hold of her with his trunk andlifted fyer upon his back. 5. She was a little frightened, but the keepertold her not to be afraid. He said the elephantliked her, and that was the reason he put her onhis back. 6. He said there was once an elephant whichbecame so fond of a little baby,
