Description

Here is a collection of Roses the like of which have
never been offered before by any house. They are
the rarest, sweetest and most oddly colored Roses in
existence, embracing nearly every color of the rain-
bow. They are strong growing, strictly ever-bloomers,
producing their large finely formed flowers continu-
ously the first and every year. Hardy with protection.
15 cts. each, except where noted ; set of 10,
postpaid, for $1.
La Grandeur. — A superb Rose. The stripes
and dashes of white stand out in bold relief against
the soft, rosy carmine background. Odd and beautiful.
Improved Rainbow. — Elegant flowers of im-
mense size; bright pink dashed and streaked with
cherry red. Magnificent buds. Two-year-old plants,
30 cts. each.
Madame de WaUeville. — The famous Tulip
Rose. Beautiful buds and flowers. Creamy yellow
petals bordered with bright crimson. Superb.
Souv. de Jeanne Cabaud. — One of the
grandest Roses ever offered. Extra large, full and
double. Wonderfully colored, outer petals coppery
yellow, centre apricot and carmine. 20 cts. each ; two-
year-old plants, 35 cts. each.
Souv. de J. B. Guillot.— Thoroughly distinct.
Color Nasturtium red shaded to crimson, varying to
bright copper red — an entirely new color. 25 cts. each;
two-year-old plants, 40 cts. each.
Striped La France. — Identical with Pmk La
France except in color, which is bright satiny pink,
striped with bright Rose.
Beaute Inconstante. — New and sensational.
A single plant will have at the same time flowers of
various colors, varying from deep yellow to red and
carmine, giving it the appearance of a number of vari-
eties blooming at once. Perfectly formed flowers.
Souv. de Laurents Guillot. — Marvelously
colored. Deep pink centre shading to yellowish peach,
edge of petals distinctly bordered. Splendid.
Madame Welche. — Immense large flowers of
great depth, of a beautiful shade of amber yellow,
deepening in centre to orange or coppery yellow, deli-
cately clouded pale crimson. Grand.
Golden Gate. — A glorious Rose. Full and

Public domain

This tag is designed for use where there may be a need to assert that any enhancements (eg brightness, contrast, colour-matching, sharpening) are in themselves insufficiently creative to generate a new copyright. It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.

Note: This tag applies to scans and photocopies only. For photographs of public domain originals taken from afar, {{PD-Art}} may be applicable. See Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag.
