Deutsch: Südostansicht des Kongressbades im 16. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Ottakring.
Das Freiluftbad wurde nach Plänen von Erich Leischner vom Stadtbauamt als „Sommerschwimm-, Luft- und Sonnenbad“ errichtet und am 20. Mai 1928 eröffnetː [1]. Gleichzeitig wurde der angrenzende Kongresspark angelegt. Die Benennung erfolgte in Erinnerung an den Wiener Kongress der Jahre 1814 und 1815ː [2]. Das ursprünglich 100 m lange Schwimmbecken wurde bei der Generalsanierung 1987/88 in ein Sport- und ein Erlebnisbecken geteilt. English: Southeast view of the Kongressbad in Vienna. |
