Description
English: Sailing ship "Otago". "Otago" and "James Micol Fleming" were sister ships built in Glasgow in 1869 for Patrick Henderson. They carried immigrants for the New Zealand Government to Dunedin. Later they sailed for Shaw, Savill Company. "Otago" was a vessel of 993 tons. Her best passage from London to Port Chalmers took 78 days. This photograph shows Joseph Conrad's ship in New Zealand
