English: Franz Oswald Wladimir Graf zu Münster Freiherr von Grothaus (* 3 February, 1917 in Falkenstein, Vogtland, Kingdom of Saxony, German Reich; † 7 June, 2003 in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg) as a student of progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer (School by the Sea) on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia. In the background the newly erected free-standing theatre hall by Berlin-based Jewish architect Bruno Ahrends (1878–1948) with Westfalenhalle (Westphalia Hall) in front.
Deutsch: Franz Oswald Wladimir Graf zu Münster Freiherr von Grothaus (* 3. Februar 1917 in Falkenstein, Vogtland, Königreich Sachsen, Deutsches Reich; † 7. Juni 2003 in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg) als Schüler des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer im Loog auf der ostfriesischen Nordseeinsel Juist. Mit geschultertem Spaten geht es zur Werkarbeit in den Dünen, Küstenschutz und Landschaftsgestaltung standen ebenso auf dem Tagesprogramm wie die Anlage von Gemüsegärten, Blumengärten und Bauarbeiten. Im Hintergrund links erkennt man die Ostseite der Westfalenhalle mit Materiallager und dahinter die 1930/31 nach Plänen des Berliner Architekten Bruno Ahrends errichtete freistehnde Bühnenhalle des Internats, die Pfingsten 1931 eröffnet wurde.
