English: A specimen of Georgian script used for Ossetian language in South Ossetian autonomy during 1938-1954. At the same time Cyrillic based alphabet has been in use for writing the same language in North Ossetia. Replaced for the Cyrillic in 1954. A page from 1940 edition of "Ossetian folclore", Preface (page 5).
Русский: Страница осетинского текста из изданной в 1940 году книги. Грузинское письмо использовалось для записи осетинских текстов в Южной Осетии в 1938-1954 годах, параллельно с кириллическим алфавитом в Северной Осетии.
