Ornate octofoil harness pendant
Description
English: An elaborate octofoil, circular centre, lobes decorated with oak leaves in gold gilt. Centre decorated with relief gilded cross terminating on flowers and eight branched circular surrounds, each of an open flower on a stem. Around centre green/red enamel, probably originally blue. Suspension loop intact, upper right lobe missing. Measurements: Maximum diameter 34.4 mm, maximum length 47 mm, inner diameter 19.1 mm, length of suspension loop 12.7 mm, length of lobes 8.4 mm. Maximum thickness 5.0 mm.
