Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Ornäs Building (Swedish: Ornässtugan) is a timber house built around 1504 by Stig Hansson, and famous for an episode in the history of the Swedish king Gustav Vasa. In the 18th century Jakob Brandberg restored the building. The windows and the wood shingle cladding on the walls date from this time. The traditional red paint contains pigment from the copper-mine in Falun, Dalecarlia.
