Фотография сельской местности в окрестностях Рио-де-Жанейро была сделана Джорджем Лейцингером (1813-1892 гг.), одним из выдающихся фотографов-пейзажистов Бразилии. На фотографии запечатлен регион Серра-дос-Органс, или Органные холмы — национальный парк в провинции Рио-де-Жанейро. Горы получили свое название от первых поселенцев, португальцев, которым они напоминали органы в соборах Европы.

Cette collection couvre une vaste gamme de sujets. Elle documente les réalisations du Brésil et du peuple brésilien au 19e siècle, et comprend également de nombreuses photographies d'Europe, d'Afrique et d'Amérique du nord. Cette vue de la campagne autour de Rio de Janeiro a été prise par George Leuzinger (1813-92), l'un des plus éminents photographes de paysages du Brésil. Cette photographie présente la Serra dos Orgaos ou Chaîne des Orgues, un parc national dans l'État de Rio de Janeiro. The collection covers a wide variety of subjects. It documents the achievements of Brazil and Brazilians in the 19th century and also includes many photographs of Europe, Africa, and North America. This view of the countryside around Rio de Janeiro was taken by George Leuzinger (1813-92), one of Brazil’s foremost landscape photographers. The photograph features the Serra dos Orgaos, or Organ Hills, a national park in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The mountains were given their name by early Portuguese settlers who thought they resembled the organs in European cathedrals.
