English: Lance Cpl. Nicholas M. Aguilar uninstalls the flares dispenser from an AV-8B Harrier on the flight line at Al Asad, Iraq, July 10. The flare dispenser provides aircraft defensive countermeasures against surface-to-air missiles. Aguilar, an ordnance technician with Marine Attack Squadron 513, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Air Wing, and the rest of the ordnance shop, is responsible for ensuring that all Harriers leaving the air station are equipped with the necessary munitions.
