Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Orchids on Horsham Stone The presence of Early-purple Orchids here is because of the underlying somewhat calcareous Horsham Stone, which around here has significant beds in the Weald Clay. Unusually there is also quite a lot of Bracken, probably because of more acidic strata of Weald Clay also present - the limit of the Stone is mapped as passing close to this spot. Blue Bugle may also be seen.
