Polski: Deszczomierz laserowy (inaczej disdrometr optyczny) - przyrząd służący do pomiarów charakterystyki opadu atmosferycznego: prędkości opadania i rozkładu wielkości cząstek opadowych (np. kropel deszczu). W widocznym na zdjęciu modelu OTT Parcivel2 wykorzystuje się wiązkę promieniowania o długości fali 650 nm, emitowaną przez diodę laserową umieszczoną w jednej z gałęzi urządzenia i rejestrowaną przez czujnik w drugiej. Zaburzenia w przepływie światła pozwalają na ustalenie rozmiarów i prędkości opadania cząstek. Zdjęcie wykonane w obserwatorium Schneefernerhaus na Zugspitze.
