slightest touch, andassociated with fever. Twoof those on the anteriorwall, however, were not truevaginal cysts, but subure-thral abscesses, discharginginto the urethra; another,a suppurating vaginal cystwith a thin wall, was seenin consultation with Dr. A.K. Minich, of Philadel-phia ; it was situated withinthe vagina on its anteriorwall, ovoid and as big as ahens egg. It was curedby a simple incision evacuating the pus. The fourth was 4 cm. in diameter(1.6 inches) and 3 cm. (1.2 inches) thick, situated in the posterior vaginalwall, high up, just below the vault, and seemed fixed to a firm base. It causedparoxysms of agonizing rec-tal pain, during which thepatient would stand grasp-ing a chair and screaming.On incising it, thick, yel-low, odorless pus escaped;the walls of the cavity weresmooth, rigid, and irregu-lar above.
