Summary
[edit]DescriptionOperation Vigilant Guard (5732258763).jpg |
Soldiers of Douglas’ 848th Engineer Company, the search and extraction element of Georgia’s Joint Task Force 781 and CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP), see to the needs of an “earthquake victim,” while other “victims” line up for the walk to nearby "medical assistance." The simulation is part of Operation Vigilant Guard. Operation Vigilant Guard 2011 is a multi-state exercise designed with the improvement of interagency cooperation in mind. It provides an opportunity for State National Guard headquarters, State joint task forces – like the 781st and its elements – to improve command and control, and operational relationships with local, state and federal emergency responders.
