Description
English: Military operations after the fall of Lima until the end of the war. Almost every deployment of Chilean forces far from the coast was resisted by the Peruvian guerrilla warfare, which is not noted on the map.

1881 Letelier' expedition (▲) towards Tarma and Junín
1882 Gana and Del Canto's expedition (▲) towards Tarma and Huancayo.

1883 Cáceres and Recavarren (▲) march to north pusued by Arriagada (▲), until the last abandon the pursuit in Yungay. Cáceres continued to north and is defeated by Gorostiaga and Gonzáles (▲) in Huamacucho. Later in 1883, Velásquez (Tacna), Del Canto (Mollendo, Islay), Tagle (Pachoca) y Urriola (Ayacucho) (▲) encircled Montero (●) in Arequipa at south, west and north. Arequipa fell in October.
