Probably the most productive townships have been Bertie, Humberstone andRainham. It cannot be regarded as a continuous field. It will be noted that a numberof the wells sampled are nearly exhausted, so that the possible influence of this onthe composition can be studied. Details of Wells Sampled in \VelIand«Haldimand.\orfolk=Brant=\Vent\vorth Qas Producing Area A brief statement is given of the history of the wells sampled in each of thecounties. In many cases, owing to change of ownership or neglect of keeping records,the history is incomplete. All the samples in this territory were taken by Mr. DonaldSharpe, except where otherwise stated.
