per cent above the market price. Lastyear there were raised 100,000,000 bushels of oats which sold at from thirty-five to fifty cents a bushel. Xow many of the prize winners in these standingfield crop competitions received from 81.25 to $2.50 per bushel for their oats.If we can succeed in increasing the value but ten cents per bushel it wouldadd §10,000,000. to the amount received annually for the oat crops alone bythe agriculturists of Ontario, not to speak of the increased amount producedper acre by careful selection of seed grain and improved methods of cultivat-ion. In order that all the different sections of Ontajiomight compete on equitable terms, the Province will be divided into threesections. East, Central, and West.
