Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The foreshore in Onehunga Auckland City, New Zealand. Looking southeast towards the Port of Onehunga and Mangere Bride. The house of the local Sea Scouts in the middle distance.
This stretch of coastline is part of a dispute between local residents and the NZTA, which wants to further widen the motorway just to the left in the picture. The local groups are asking for the motorway to be sunk into a trench, to restore access to the Manukau Harbour / restore a former beach in this location.
