I was assigned a singlebed in a room occupied by two otherladies, who, when we arrived, were atthe volcano. ?;/> ONE SUMMER IN HAWAII. For obvious reasons I dined in bed,and remained there after dinner; notto sleep, however, for the walls werethin, the guests loquacious, and thelaughter loud. Auntiemoaned and groaned and ejaculated,Oh! why did I come, but was ONE SUMMER IN HA WAIL 237 finally disrobed and rubbed andanointed and tucked away. The otherfollowed suit, and then the real busi-ness of the night began.
