Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 100 W Roy Street, at the Northwest corner of 1st Ave W. Built in 1912 by Hans Pederson for E.G. Redding as a dance academy, Thompson & Thompson were the architects. The Seattle Engineering School, previously located in the Oriental Building on 2nd Avenue, occupied the ground floor from 1912 until a new larger building was built for them on Queen Anne Avenue in 1918 (now the Marqueen Hotel). This building still hosts dance and performance arts as On the Boards.
